TrekNature

An interesting site is TrekNature, Learning about Nature through Photography. The site is less than a year old and is “dedicated to fostering a global community interested in nature photography from around the world. ” Photos are from all over the world but a large number are from South America. Included are wonderful close-up photos of plants and wildlife. For each photo are photographer notes, specifics about the camera and settings that was used, as well as critiques from other TrekNature members. The critiques share information about the best techniques for photographing nature, such as this photo of a transparent winged butterfly from Brazil. Incredible! I’m very excited about this site and will be spending a lot of time here. TrekNature is a great resource for photographers, nature lovers, and travelers to South America.
