I’ve not read this book yet but it’s going on my reading list: The Cloud Garden : A True Story of Adventure, Survival, and Extreme Horticulture. The book is about a rich kid who loves orchids, and with all the wisdom of his upper class British education, he and a travel buddy decide to take an unadvised journey into the Darien Gap where they get captured by Colombian rebels and held for nine months. According to reviews, it’s quite the page turner.
