Short-term apartment rentals in Buenos Aires

If you’re able to come to Buenos Aires and hunt around yourself for a short-term apartment rental, then you will surely get a better price than from a rental agency on the net but you will need to do some exploring. An easier but much more expensive approach is to go through one of several apartment rental companies.

There are a couple of web sites of apartment rental companies that cater to foreigners: I heard good things about Alogargentina and ApartmentsBA . These sites have photos, prices, and other detailed information. Expat Argentina blog has a review of ApartmentsBA .

The prices are ridiculously high by Argentine standards, but as a foreigner in a short-term rental, you’re not going to get the local prices. Locals in Buenos Aires will generally pay only about 1/3 of the price listed on these sites. However, locals have to enter into a two-year lease and put up a guarantee (e.g.., property from family or a friend).
