Long-term travel in Colombia

Earlier this year I had the pleasure of spending almost two months in Colombia. I liked it so much, I thought about moving there from Argentina but eventually we returned to Buenos Aires. Today, I come across a blog by Colette and Blair, a couple who are spending an extended amount of time in Colombia.

I see that we’ve been to many of the same places. They stayed four weeks at the lovely, little fishing village of Taganga. I was only in Taganga for a few days but really wanted to stay for a couple of months. It’s really a relaxing place.

And the couple seems to be traveling with a couple of kittens. Not sure what that’s about, need to go back and read more of their very detailed blog, which is filled with good information about travel in Colombia - a country really worth visiting.

While in Taganga I thought about visiting Aracataca, the hometown of the great writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez but after reading about their visit to Aracataca, I see that I didn’t miss much.

Colette & Blair are getting married July 4, 2007. (Hey, that’s my parents 49th wedding anniversary!) Well, good luck to Colette & Blair in all their future quests!
