How to Know if the Inca Trail is Sold Out

There is a limit of 500 people on the Inca Trail for any one day. This includes guides and porters, which usually number about 300 a day. So, that leaves only about 200 spots per day for tourists. The Instituto Nacional de Cultura in Cuzco has an online listing of the exact number of available spots for the Inca Trail for any day.

The site is only in Spanish but it’s simple enough that any in another language shouldn’t have a problem using it. Andean Travel Web also keeps an updated listing along with excellent advice in English.
