A hiking friend on Ushuaia

A hiking friend of mine visited Ushuaia earlier this year and says that it’s a little too touristy but is situated in a very beautiful location. He recommend visits to the Museo Maritimo de Ushuaia and Estancia Haberton. (He says that there is not much there but that he enjoyed the tour and that made him appreciate what the early settlers to the Uttermost Part Of The World endured).

Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego was nice but a little disappointing if you’re realling into hiking. The trails are not all that interesting considering how much beautiful land that is available.

The cruise along the Beagle Chanel was nice but a little pricey.

He says that a visit to Puerto Williams across the Channel in Chile might provide a better experience although it is hard to get to.
