El Sur: Travel Guide to South America

A very nicely done site of worldwide travel photos is the Wondering Eye by Jon Whitear and Alison Beaton. Their scope is international but they do have several sections devoted to different South American countries particularly Bolivia, Chile, and Peru.

Lynn and John Salmon wrote an in-depth story of their trip to Pataognia in the early 1990s. While the material is over 10 years old, it’s still a very interesting read.
